My last article pointed out that between December 10th and 16th, 2021, 68% of all COVID-19 cases in Nova Scotia were in fully vaccinated people — and 79% of cases in people aged 12 and above were in fully vaccinated people.
In that article, I mentioned a FOIPOP request (freedom of information) in progress that was looking for the number of cases by vaccination status and age for the week of December 17th to 26th. That request has now been fulfilled and the numbers have been released.
Of the people aged 12 and above who tested positive for COVID-19 between December 17th to 26th, 2021, 91% were fully vaccinated.
There are two important things to consider about the above statistic.
First, we only look at cases in people aged 12 and up because every single case under 12 is either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated. This is because those aged 0-4 are unable to be vaccinated and those aged 5-11 are not eligible for their second dose until January 27th, 2022 at the earliest. By removing cases in people under 12, we are left with an unbiased view of the cases among all people who are able to be fully vaccinated. This lets us compare apples to apples.
The second thing to consider is the date range (December 17th to 26th). This date range contains the most recent information we have for Nova Scotia cases by vaccination status, making it the most representative sample available.
Additionally, this date range covers the steep incline of the epidemic curve, which makes the sample size much higher than in previous weeks. A larger sample size makes the dataset much less prone to error and biases.
Finally, any data from the period after December 26th is less reliable as Nova Scotia made significant changes to their testing strategy beginning December 27th.
For anyone who has been paying attention to COVID-19 cases by vaccination status, these numbers shouldn’t come as a surprise. Across Canada, and in other parts of the world, we are seeing more and more cases in the fully vaccinated population compared to the unvaccinated population. The effectiveness of the two-dose mRNA vaccine schedule is essentially nil at this point.

Why does the mainstream media seem to have no interest in what should be the biggest news of the last two year?? It's astonishing. And if this trend holds true as it has in other places, the numbers will look even worse for the vaccines by next month. 87% of DEATHS in Scotland this week were in vaccinated.
That is a very self-serving week to pick to fit your narrative. There was a superspreader event at Xavier Uni that lead to the spike in 20-39 year olds. Secondly, the number of cases is no longer relevant - it is the severity. I think we all understand vaxxed people can get covid - don't insult your followers.
